Ways to Serve

Home Visits

Vincentians visit families in their homes, listen to their struggles, and offer both practical help and a compassionate presence. This is the heart of our ministry.

Warehouse & Distribution

Sort, organize, and prepare donated furniture and household goods at the SVdP warehouse so they're ready when a family needs them.

Drives & Collections

Help plan and run our seasonal parish drives — 40 Days for 40 Beds, Blanket Sunday, and others — from setup to promotion to collection day.

Food Pantry

Work alongside volunteers from St. Luke and other parishes to support the two SVdP food pantry locations — 30th Street or Boulevard Place.

What to Expect

No experience necessary. Every Vincentian started as a beginner — training and an experienced partner come with every home visit at first.

Give what time you have. Some roles are a couple of hours a month; others, like home visits, ask for a regular ongoing commitment. We'll help you find the right fit.

Formation matters to us. Vincentians take part in ongoing spiritual formation alongside the practical work — this is a ministry as much as it is service.
